Guest guest
I agree with the 2 who posted being upset at the price of organics and trusting a company to truly package organic products. I buy most of my produce at my supermarket. I have a gourmet health food store closer...I buy my greens there that I can't get at the supermarket. I was so disappointed when I went to the health food store and saw they had pulled the organic spinach too. Then I heard on tv that Earthbound packages spinach for a lot of different companies. Then I began to wonder if when I get in Earthbound or Paul Newman is really any different than what I get at the supermarket. My neighbor works for Wal-Mart. I asked her about the organics there. She is not a vegetarian so she doesn't care what she buys. But she did tell me they didn't have much (in our local store)..then she added to me that there are no organics any more with the air quality, soil quality and water quality. I just smiled but now I'm beginning to think the high prices aren't warranted and we're probably not getting the quality we think we are. The only difference I see between my supermarket at the smaller health market is the purple cabbage. The color at the smaller market is absoutely gorgeous, almost flourescent purple. Now that I've vented too, hopefully we can buy spinach soon. I'm tempted to start growing some of my greens in earthboxes and containers so that I can just go out and pick a few leaves every day and I know that there are no chemicals on them.
