Guest guest
I usually do this with asparagus but I had 2 lb of green beans to use up. 2 lb green beans, trimmed 1 Tbs olive oil 1 Tbs butter 4-6 cloves garlic, smushed dried dill to taste (I used 1 tsp but will put more next time) black pepper to taste (1 tsp seemed good to me) Turn on oven broiler. Set rack in the middle or upper third of the oven. Combine olive oil & butter & melt together in micro or small saucepan. Put green beans in a plastic bag or big bowl. Add garlic, dill, black pepper & oil/butter mix. Toss to coat. Let set while you get the rest of dinner ready or just for a while. Place beans in a cast iron skillet and place under broiler for six minutes, shake pan frequently to avoid burning. When I do asparagus this way I use fresh parsley instead of dill.
