Guest guest Posted August 26, 2006 Report Share Posted August 26, 2006 Now you must give this grain a very good rinse under the faucet. Place it in a mesh strainer. If not it will be bitter. I have a dry iron skillet so after the quinoa is drained and dried out I toast it in the skillet and it takes on a nutty flavor. You can toss it in your soups, please go to the recipe file and look in the grain area, we have quite a few recipes calling for quinoa. It's power packed with nutrients. I love it. You don't have to toast it before you cook it. You can use it to stuff bell peppers with, as a side dish, what type recipe are you looking for??? Like a rice type of side dish??
