Guest guest Posted August 26, 2006 Report Share Posted August 26, 2006 Pea Split Pea Soup 1 gallon water 2 cups split peas 2-3 large onions 5 carrots, sliced 6 stalks celery with tops sliced 1 large potato, diced 4 cups fresh or frozen peas 12 cloves garlic, minced 3 bay leaves 2 tsp. basil 2 tsp. oregano 2 tsp. thyme 1 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. smoke flavoring Bragg's or soy sauce to taste 1/2 cup ghee or olive oil Use a 2 gallon pot. Fill halfway with water. Bring to boil and add split peas and all other ingredients except for garlic, peas, soy sauce and oil.
