Guest guest Posted September 22, 2006 Report Share Posted September 22, 2006 Old Fashioned Bean Soup 1 pound dry white navy beans 3 quarts water 1 tablespoon onion -- minced 1/2 teaspoon celery salt 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard 2 teaspoons salt 1 Dash pepper 1 tablespoon chopped parsley Wash beans. Soak beans in water overnight. Do not drain. Add onion, celery salt. Cook beans until very soft - 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Bruise beans with a large spoon, enough to cloud.
