Dear Diane,

I try to be cheerful even when I am down with a problem with cats round

here.

So far, so good with Donna's idea of squeezing Garlic round the toilet area.

I don't see any fresh litter today, (day 1).

I will keep monitoring the progress and keep you all updated.

I haven't even bother to scoop up the mess yet, in case it fail to work.

The chicken wire is a kind idea but an eyesore unless I can hide it

discreetly.

Hmmm...I guess it wouldn't matter of I have plants growing through the wire

to conceal it, ha.

Like you said, I also would like to compromise with the cats round here.

I have come to know every single one of them that comes in my garden.

Best Wishes,

Wee

Hi Wee,

Nice to see your cheerful notes again; I hope you have been well.

If the garlic and vinegar don't work (they should - both good ideas &

effective), I have read recommendations about putting chicken wire

(lightweight wire fencing with a large grid) flat on the ground

around where they like to do their toilet. I guess cats don't like

to step on such things? I had to compromise with my kitty Rose -- if

she would stop going in my tomatoes, I would let her go in the

wildflower bed.

Peace,

Diane
