Guest guest
I finally got a reply from Red Star about whether or not nutritional yeast should be refrigerated. Here it is: Red Star Nutritional Yeast is inactive yeast (vs. active yeast used for baking). It does not require refrigeration but refrigeration would not hurt it. Room temperature, sealed, out of sunlight storage is just fine. I have put mine in our kitchen pantry for 20+ years and it keeps just fine. It does not matter if it is in flake or powder form. I hope this information helps you.
