Guest guest Posted September 21, 2006 Report Share Posted September 21, 2006 Stir-Fried Asparagus with Sesame Seeds 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 2 tablespoons oil 1 clove garlic finely chopped 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger 1 1/2 pounds asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon sugar 2 teaspoons sesame oil 1 tablespoon soy sauce Heat a wok or frying pan; add the sesame seeds and stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes or until golden. Remove from wok and set aside. Heat the oil in the wok and add the garlic, ginger and asparagus. Stir-fry over high heat for 3 minutes or until almost tender. Sprinkle the vegetables with pepper and add the sugar. Stir-fry over high heat for 1 minute. Sprinkle with the sesame oil, soy sauce and sesame seeds and serve immediately. Yields 4 servings.
