Guest guest
Thank you Angela for the advice. I actually would really like to try and grow it. Do you have any specific advice (anyone)? I can do indoor or outdoor - ground or pot. Any particular method better? Also, should I take the paper skin off of the head and bulbs themselves. I probably shouldn't do anything because if I do anything with the garlic it will then die. Linda, I don't know what the deal is. I've had garlic sprout in my fridge many times...just not this extensively before. I keep the garlic heads in the crisper (produce buckets or whatever they are called). My fridge and place are pretty tidy. The garlic I have been buying have been in pretty bad shape to begin with. I had just bought another 3 pack and went searching down, hand first, into my produce bin and pulled out that little critter. Luckily it don't bite. ...just uses lasers. Guest guest
no gardening advice - in CA I had big window seats full of pots in my apt - even grew cauliflower in pots - green thumbs on both hands. since moving to TX my thumbs have turned black - inside, outside what I try to grow dies, what I throw in the dirt and ignore sometimes survives, unexpected plants coming up in spots where I've buried garbage to improve the soil have done the best - just call me the accidental gardener - haha peace, Angela great grandma recycled, she called it making do. who I am is fine, it's just this body that's disabled! middle age = that time of life when we realize yesterday's sex, drugs and rock and roll are todays memories, prescriptions and golden oldies! Guest guest
I apparently share the same growing techniques as you, Angela (in TX that is). I'm going to blame it on the dysfunctional Houston weather from now on. Woohoo! Sounds like you have an in-ground compost thang workin. S.
