This is a yummy treat we enjoy on cool

Autumn [and winter] evenings. :)

Maple Hot Chocolate

1/4 cup sugar

1 Tbs baking cocoa

1/8 tsp salt

1/4 cup hot water

1Tbs butter or margarine

4 cups milk (dairy or soy)

1 tsp maple flavoring

1 tsp vanilla extract

12 dollops marshmallow creme

In a large saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and salt.

Stir in hot water and butter, bring to a boil. Add the

milk, maple flavoring, vanilla and marshmallow creme.

Heat through, stirring occasionally, until marshmallow

are melted. Ladle into mugs and top each with another

dollop of marshmallow creme if desired.

Yield: 4 servings

I add 2 spoonfuls per cup during the stirring/warming

process and allow those to melt into the hot chocolate,

then ladel into serving cups and add one additional dollop

of marshmellow creme on top of each mug for garnish

and yum. :)

Learning should be a joy and full of excitement. It is

life's greatest adventure; it is an illustrated excursion

into the mind of noble and learned men, not a conducted

tour through a jail.
