hunting season

I always thought hunting season started in November, but I guess it's

already " bow season " here in NH. Yesterday, after the dump run (for

you city slickers, that's where people actually take their own garbage

to a landfill/recycling center, lol), I stopped off at the local Mom

and Pop convenience store to get my lottery tickets (I know, stupid,

but I got suckered into it by choosing " my own " numbers). Anyway,

while there, someone was registering their kill and the locals were all

congratulating him and jokingly asking for dibs on any leftover

steaks. Ugh. There I stood with my " Don't Get Mad, Get Vegan " t-shirt

on. LOL. I don't think anyone noticed the culture clash; it's just

assumed all us country folk are meat-eating rednecks.
