Guest guest
Yes, it might behoove you to stay home! But I need to do that too according to some. This will date me, but when Mt. St. Helens was getting ready to blow I went up there to see it all...I love that stuff...but they had brought in the National Guard to prevent people from going beyond a certain point and these guys were armed with guns...rifles I suppose...but big guns. I thought they were a bunch of children playing games...The guard said they were just there to save our lives and I smarted off and said " You are going to shoot me to save my life. How odd. " I thought my husband was going to shoot me. The guard was a tad bit hostile then. They were keeping the points of their guns toward the ground, but this guy raised his up to waist level. I couldn't for the life of me stifle a laugh which doesn't help. Sarcastic too. Ran into the same irony at the Peace Arch between Canada and U.S. during a protest over globalization. The U.S. guards were the biggest jerks I have ever seen....totally peaceful march and they were dressed to the hilt in riot gear...felt surreal...felt like Darth Vaders surrounding us. And they actually marched on us pinning us in. Maybe you are Bonnie and I am Clyde? Your daughter still has to do my hair though and then I could make a real impression. linda " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll > i would be toast these days. Not only do i look weird, > but i AM weird.
