Guest guest
For some reason (I'm not sure how it started at all) my dh and I always mark the Ides of March - not so much a celebration but as a notation, as in: 'It'll be the Ides of March tomorrow " - " Really? So it will. Where shall we go? " Weird. Also Paddy's Day, just because we always have, as an ethnic holiday. That will mean out to find other likeminded folk and raise a glass to honour the occasion and usually lunch out. Fun! And the first day of spring - always something to celebrate! Guest guest
That sounds like fun. i have never heard of anyone marking the Ides of March as a holiday. Its not weird, but rather very cool, IMO. ~ pt ~ The Celts believed that there was another dividing line that all people could straddle, if only they stretched themselves a bit. And that's the divide between the world and the otherworld. ~ Steve Rabery, 'In The House of Memory' ~~~*~~~*~~~> , dr patricia sant < veggiehound wrote: > For some reason (I'm not sure how it started at all) > my dh and I always mark the Ides of March - not so > much a celebration but as a notation, as in: 'It'll be > the Ides of March tomorrow " - " Really?
