Guest guest Posted March 14, 2006 Report Share Posted March 14, 2006 Creamy Skillet Cabbage 2 tb butter or margarine 4 cups shredded cabbage 1 green pepper; cut into thin strips 2 tb Water 1/2 ts salt 1/4 ts pepper 3 oz cream cheese; cubed Coat cabbage and pepper with melted butter in skillet. Add water, salt and pepper. Simmer, covered, until cabbage is tender, about 8 minutes. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Makes 4 to 6 servings. Tomatoes and oregano make it Italian; wine and tarragon make it French. Sour cream makes it Russian; lemon and cinnamon make it Greek. Soy sauce makes it Chinese; garlic makes it good.
