Is your sister from St. Louis? This is very similar

to a salad from a local restaurant called Pasta House,

although they don't use the hearts of palm (I do when

I make it myself).

 

HOWEVER, there's an important ingredient missing:

garlic powder, or minced garlic. It makes a huge

difference in this salad.
