This was GREAT STUFF - The real deal! Two other friends also gave

this 5 spatulas out of 5. After a couple of hours cooking, the smell

started to come out and it smelled like that good country restaurant

type of mac n cheese smell.

Couple of additions and subs. I used spiral pasta since that is what

I had. I finely chopped a raw jalp and added. Oh and decided to use

a " good " can of evaporated milk. LOL.

I suggest serving this directly after cooking. I tend to let things

cool in the crock and place in fridge until the time I can properly

place portions in containers. Well, I let this cool down and it kinda

sunk, LOL. Next time I'll add more jalp and more salt but I'm just

being picky as this was such an excellent dish that I shan't forget

it. Thank you Lori! Now she's made me a mac addict and a no-bake

cookie addict. What recipe is next?

Anyway, I will be making this over and over as a staple. It actually

has inspired me to get the recipes that I've liked and want to make

over again, collected together this weekend.

ALL DAY MACARONI AND CHEESE

8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained

4 cups(16 ounces) shredded sharp Chedder Cheese

1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk

1 1/2 cups milk

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Place the cooked macaroni in crockpot that has been sprayed with

nonstick cooking spray. Add the remaining ingredents, all except 1 cup

of the cheese, mix well. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of cheese

and

then cover and cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours or until the

mixture

is firm and golden around the edges. Do not remove the cover or stir

until it has finished cooking.

Oh stop! You're making me so hungry! *lol* i loved your picture;

you could really see the crusty browned edges [the best part, imo].

Your additions sound wonderful. My Grams was always fond of

adding pepper-jack cheese to her mac & cheese recipe and it was

so good. i am going to make this over the weekend.

Where has Lori been while we have been singing her praises? :)
