Guest guest Posted August 23, 2006 Report Share Posted August 23, 2006 Grilled Leeks 8 leeks 1/4 cup olive oil 2 tbsps. lemon juice 1 tbsp. chopped fresh marjoram 1 tbsp. chopped fresh oregano 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper Trim the leeks to remove the roots and coarse green leaves and rinse very well. Blot dry. Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, marjoram, oregano, salt and pepper. Pour over leeks and let marinate while grill heats. Grill over indirect heat, brushing lightly with some of the marinade and turning every 5 to 6 minutes, until leeks are tender, about 20 minutes. Place directly over hot coals just before serving.
