I wonder if the peppers were old, did they seem rubbery when you were preparing them for the recipe?. I get them at the Mexican mercado and they are bright orange and have a snap if you crush one. That is one very hot pepper. Nice to hear you enjoy ed the recipe though. I pour the siracha all over my Asian food also, to me it tastes like a mildy spicy ketchup.
