The correct water to rice ratio is critical having your rice turn out perfect every time. 2. Prepare rice the day before using 1 cup rice to 2 cups water. Refrigerate overnight. 3. if you are planning to serve rice salad the same day that you prepare it, use 1 cup rice to 1-3/4 c water. This creates a firmer grain.
