Guest guest
Being from Quebec, I'm enjoying this conversation about poutine. To be honest with you, I enjoy it quite a bit. When you make it, you have to make sure that you put the cheese curds on before the gravy, and the gravy must be piping hot so that the cheese melts and becomes gooey!! The KFC gravy does not work well on a poutine. You should use the thinner gravy so that it seeps through all the french fries. You can even buy special canned poutine sauce. Because a lot of Quebecers relocated to Ontario or to the Western provinces, a lot of the restaurants in those areas are starting to serve poutine to help make Quebecers feel " at home " . By the way, there is also the Italian poutine, where instead of using the brown gravy, you use spaghetti sause.
