Guest guest Posted September 27, 2006 Report Share Posted September 27, 2006 Peanut Butter Bread 1 Egg 1 C. Brown Sugar 2 Tbsp. Peanut Butter 2 Tbsp. Melted Butter 1 C. *Sour Milk/Buttermilk 2 C. Sifted Flour 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda 1 tsp. Baking Powder 1/2 tsp. Salt Topping 2 Tbsp. Butter 4 Tbsp. Brown Sugar Peanuts 1 Tbsp. Water We want to do the topping first. Spread butter on bottom of loaf pan. Cover evenly with sugar and peanuts. Sprinkle with water and cover with the batter. To make the batter: Beat the egg. Add sugar slowly, beating it in. Stir in peanut butter and melted butter. Add milk. **If you don't have any butter milk or sour milk, put 1 tablespoon lemon juice in cup and pour milk to equal one cup, let sit for a few minutes before using** Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add egg mixture to this, stirring well. Bake at 350° for about an hour.
