Guest guest
Wiccans didn't exist until around 1940s/1950s, so they couldn't have been drowned by Patrick. However, in regards to the religion in that area (Druids, et cetera), I heard there was a lot of book burning going on and whatnot. He did drive them out, and force was assumed. I really doubt that a bunch of people just up and peacefully left their religion because one man showed up. It was probably like a lot of other takeovers in history. I was an Irish polytheist myself, so I've studied a good deal about ancient Irish religion. It didn't resemble Wicca one iota. May I always be aware that true wealth lies in wisdom, and may my " gold " be so abundant that only a wise man can lift and carry it away. For me that is prayer enough. - Socrates
