Guest guest
Then buy one my dear! Life is short. And you can make your own without the crap that is in most ice creams and have the flavors you love. I think they are about $25. I have a Rival and it works great. It is electric so if you are into being more primitive about it I bet you will pay more for that privilege. I make ice soycream and none of my concoctions requires cooking. Chocolate Ice Soycream, Vegan 2 cans of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup (it is vegan, I talked to the company) 2 quarts soy milk 2 cups sugar Mix above ingredients adding more soy milk to come up to the full mark on the can. Pour into cannister to your maker Layer small ice and rock salt. Start machine and let it do its thing. If you cut the sugar drastically you may not get the freeze that you want. I have tried subsitutions but they haven't worked at all. It seems the ice cream needs sugar to freeze. If anyone has a different suggestion I'll try it.
