Guest guest
Very cool, Amy! Thank you. Sliced, it actually looked like slices of unmeat. You could do anything with that which I like. I think I missed what spices, if any, went into the seitan recipe itself. Pistachios - addiction friendly. I am thankful that they are a bit pricey, LOL. Gotta love the curry powder too. That salad looks very refreshing with the fruit. I will have to suggest that you at least prepare some garlic for any ole reason while making this recipe next time. Pop in some music and you'll be doing the shake-shake-shake and the twist at the same time. Party on! Shawn On 3/29/06, Amy <> wrote: > > Ok, Shawn ... two more photos in my folder. I used the recipe from http://bunnyfoot.blogspot.com/2005/05/praise-seitan.html , so the ingredients were: the dry mix: 2 and 1/4 cups pure gluten powder 1/2 cup minute tapioca (i usually grind it up a bit so they're not so big) 1/2 cup rolled oats 2 tablespoons fake chicken broth powder 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder the wet mix: 2 and 1/4 cup cold water 1/4 cup tahini (roasted) 3 Tablespoons soy sauce the cooking broth: Mix in a large pot and bring to a boil, then keep at a simmer, covered: 7 cups fake chicken broth 7 cloves garlic, chopped 3 and 1/2 Tablespoons soy sauce 3 and 1/2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes > Pistachios - addiction friendly. I never used to like them, and now I don't know why. It was a good salad. > I will have to suggest that you at least prepare some garlic for any > ole reason while making this recipe next time. Party on! *rotfl* I don't think I'm coordinated enough to shake-shake-shake my seitan, my bootay, and twist, all at once!!! But the music was on! :-)
