Guest guest Posted August 15, 2006 Report Share Posted August 15, 2006 Steamed Spinach with Balsamic Vinegar 2 lbs. fresh spinach, cooked, washed and large stems discarded 1/4 tsp. salt or to taste 1 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted 2 tsps. balsamic or white wine vinegar Place spinach with water that clings to it in a large heavy saucepan over medium high heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook spinach 3 to 5 minutes or until leaves begin to wilt. Remove from heat and drain thoroughly. Add butter and vinegar before serving.
