Guest guest
HI there: Hi again Susie, Many thanks for this - I have already sent in my application to join. >> I am sure it will be approved, the woman who runs the list is an Australian school teacher and it is really cool listening to them about the schooling process in her homeland. I know there is a woman named Sharon who lives in Holland as well that is on the Aussie list, but we havent heard from her in a while. Ok I assume she is still on the list. I love living in Holland but it seems incredibly remote from Australia and I hardly ever hear any mention of Australia here. >> Well next year i may beg to exchange calendars with you, I personally would love to move to places like Sweden or Iceland. I am so much more a winter cold weather person than a hot weather girl, sadly I live in Texas. Even the BBC (we can get BBC radio and TV here) doesn't mention Oz too often. I will be great to have a sort of lifeline to keep up to date with Australian news.>> Someone who used to be on the list is a woman who is an aussie dj, I may contact her and see what type of radio show she does. My daughter sent me an e-mail recently mentioning the 'Deputy Prime Minister' and I realised with shock that I had absolutely no idea of who currently holds that position. I have been in Holland since 1998 and my contact with Australian current affairs is so minimal that it is bordering on non-existent. Hey no problem and I am sure that Tracey will ok your app real soon. susie
