Guest guest Posted September 20, 2006 Report Share Posted September 20, 2006 Hi, everyone, Hope you're having a good evening so far. I was a member for awhile and have recently rejoined. I've been a veggie for awhile now, but I've recently been trying to cut down on the dairy products that I eat. And I've pretty much eliminated eggs, even from my baking. My husband, though, is not vegetarian. While he'll eat most any vegetarian dish, he does have a problem with many vegan recipes. (Usually I wind up eating all of it!) So I try to find a balance that will make us both happy. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from this group and get some good recipes. My ultimate goal is to be able to cook everything from scratch; often that's difficult with my working full time and doing other things. I'm working on it, though! I would also like to try to eliminate all convenience foods for lots of reasons (cost, health, etc). I've been thinking about doing the once-a-month thing, but most of the books are meat based. Anyone have favorite freezer recipes? Or other resources for bulk cooking? I would love to find some good frugal recipes. Also, my husband teaches and has to take a lunch or supper sometimes. The problem is that he doesn't have access to a frig? Any lunch ideas? I've about worn him down with pb & j! Anyway, it's good to be back. I hope you all have a very good evening.
