Community Residents Sent Stray Cats To Be Sterilized

In Beijing

 

BEIJING - AUGUST 21:

before sterilization surgery at an animal hospital

August 21, 2007 in Beijing, China.

 

Residents of Nanlang Community have raised over 2,000

yuan (around USD 264) to carry out the surgery for

about 20 cats.

 

According to Capital Animal Welfare Association

(CAWA), there are over 200,000 stray cats in Beijing,

with about 150,000 living in residential communities.
