Ostrich oil products for better hair and skin

Once valued mainly by fashionistas for its feathers to trim their hats

and negligees, the ostrich has proven to be a source of quality meat

and cosmetics that create a healthy glow on the face so charmingly

framed by its feathers.

 

Ostrich meat is high in protein and low in fat and calories. And the

oil derived from its fat is good for the skin and hair.

 

The size of an ostrich oil molecule is similar to that of human skin,

so it is easily absorbed and does not clog the pores.

 

" It is said that Cleopatra and the Queen of Sheba used ostrich oil to

maintain their beauty in the hot and dry desert climate, " said S.S.

Abraham, the owner of Jelita Impian Sdn Bhd which manufactures ostrich

oil-based hair and skincare products in Negri Sembilan.

 

It helps to speed the healing of wounds, reduces swelling and relieves

itchiness, he said at the opening of Al' Anggun D'Jelita salon in

Taman Batu Berendam Putra on Sunday.

 

" The oil is very good for people with pimples, psoriasis, diabetes and

gout, " Abraham said, adding that ostrich oil is used all over the

world.

 

He said his company was the first in Malaysia to produce facial, hair

care and bath products with ostrich oil earning it a place in the

Malaysian Book of Records.

 

The range includes cleansers and creams, soap, shower gel, shampoo,

hair tonic and hair crystals.

 

" My ostriches are fed with grains rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9, which

cosmeticians say are 'skin loving', and these are absorbed into the

ostrich fat enriching it further. "

 

The products are certified halal and cost from RM12 to RM48. They are

distributed by Warisan Impian Radianze Sdn Bhd.
