Guest guest
Dear Madam, Thanks for posting this. The article includes a picture of model Naomi Campbell, who once featured in an animal rights campaign saying 'I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur.'(Attached). She has since modelled wolf fur and has made it public that she loves fur, so no wonder she likes reptile skin as adornment. Her involvement in abetting the reptile skin trade possibly vindicates the stance that celebrity status merely for the sake of being a celebrity, is vacuous. Thanks. Best wishes and kind regards, http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2007/09/12/naomi_campbell_peta_went_too_\ far _ Naomi Campbell: 'PETA Went Too Far' <http://www.starpulse.com/Supermodels/Campbell,_Naomi/>Supermodel* Naomi Campbell* <http://www.starpulse.com/Supermodels/Campbell,_Naomi/> has spoken out about her departure from the anti-fur campaign launched by animal rights activists in the mid-1990s, insisting she quit as spokeswoman because of the organization's crude tactics. The catwalk star fronted the 'I'd rather go naked than wear fur' campaign by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), but was reportedly dropped shortly after the launch for wearing fur in a fashion show. However Campbell now aims to set the record straight on the issue and remains defiant about her love of fur. She says, " When PETA started targeting (Vogue editor) Anna Wintour and (designer) Karl Lagerfield and putting dead animals on their plate, I felt that they went too far and I thought, I didn't want to be a part of this campaign anymore. (But) I do like wearing fur and I still do.
