Zhengzhou rule on no big dogs as pets to stay

Dog lovers of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, recently

tried to persuade Wang Ping, the deputy director of

the Zhengzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, to rescind a

ruling on big dogs.

 

To ensure the safety of residents, the government of

Zhengzhou has decreed that large-sized (taller than 50

centimeters) dogs cannot be kept as pets. In an online

forum, the dog lovers said most of the large dogs were

tame and tried to convince the official with stories

of how some of them had even saved their masters.

 

But Wang said the regulation would remain.
