Guest guest
Link: http://www.assamtribune.com/scripts/details.asp?id=oct0307/state8 From Our Correspondent DALGAON, Oct 2 The Orang National Park, on the north bank of the Brahmaputra, has been hit by the ongoing strike of the muster roll employees who run different functions at the Park. More than forty muster roll employees reportedly left duty in the park on September 27 last protesting disparity in appointment of Forest Guards and Grade IV employees in State Forest department. In a written statement, more than thirty muster roll employees, alleged that due to the indifferent attitude of the State government in protecting the wildlife of the State forest, 51 muster roll forest workers performing duties under Mangaldoi Wildlife Forest Division have been deprived their due. They also threatened to continue their strike if the authority fails to appoint all the 50 odd muster roll workers of Darrang district.
