Betreff: URGENT - KERALA AT IT AGAIN - Dogs & Rabbits facing Hell !!!

Dear friends,

*The killing of dogs, rabbits and turtles in Kerela has not stopped* it

seems. Apart from ARK, Kerala, I have recieved other emails of dogs being

brutally killed in Trivandrum and rest of Kerala. This email is one of them (see

fwded email at the end). Anyone raising a voice there is facing litigation and

harrassment from the police, and govt there. A foreign lady had faced a lot of

heat and misconduct from the authorities there when she had tried to save the

dogs. the video showing the same is at

other proofs of dogs being killed around beginning of 2007 till late March are

at the following links :

Please write to AWBI and seek explanations as to why they are not taking

stringent action against the government. It is the duty of the Environment

Ministry to intervene in such matters. After much investigation into the

court cases and orders, we have established that the government there are lying

through their teeth. There is no such clear order to kill dogs.

Please contact immediately in case anyone has any suggestion or plan of

action to address this issue with utmost urgency. In the meanwhile we are

sending a written complaint to AWBI, Environment Ministry to take swift

action. But every one of us must write seperately, as every letter counts.

If possible and take out time to hand deliver it there. That has an even

greater impact. Ministry of Environment's office is at " Paryavaran Bhawan "

in CGO complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

*The second issue is of Rabbit and turtle farming*. In the past we had

intimated you of illegal turtle and rabbit farming being promoted by

government there. Now they are back in action. please go through the article

at the link below to see yesterday's news in The Hindu. They are shamelessly

killing innocent rabbits and turtles for meat and skin, and too against the law

of the land.

In case you missed out on the previous article then please find them

attached here.

The turtle farming pictues are at the following link, which i have uploaded

from a video. This is clear proof of the brutality going on.

*Please distribute this email world wide and let the world know what

barbaric state Kerala is and the tourism should not be promoted there.*

IN case you are not able to send any petitions and compleints then kindly

write, sign, scan and send to this email id. we will collect all such

petitions and meet the concerned officials personally.

KINDLY CONSIDER THIS URGENT.

Save dogs in TechnoPark, Trivandrum

Sir/Madam

Today i witnessed a brutal incident at the TechnoPark

premise. There were dogcatchers around killing and dumping dead

dogs. I couldn't withstand such a coldblooded brutality. When asked, they said

they have permission from the government. If this true, please do the needful

soon.

Thank you

Sandhya*
