Guest guest Posted October 25, 2007 Report Share Posted October 25, 2007 Kaziranga, 24th Oct` 07 This is the 13th Rhino which fell prey to poachers` bullets in Kaziranga National Park last night. This is the 17th rhino killed in the state of Assam since January 2007. On hearing gun shots at around 6pm an alarm was raised in the park and an operation launched, but not much could be done as it was dark. In the morning the carcass was found which bore four bullet injuries with the hurn missing. It was a female adult rhinoceros. The hunt for the poachers is still on.
