Guest guest Posted November 2, 2007 Report Share Posted November 2, 2007 One killed, five hurt in bee attack in Cambodia From correspondents in Phnom Penh October 31, 2007 A CAMBODIAN farmer was stung to death and five others were seriously hurt after a group of children hurled stones at a bee hive. The farmers were harvesting vegetables when they were swarmed by the bees, which became enraged after the children destroyed part of the hive with stones fired from slingshots, police said. Sim Tha, 54, died after being stung hundreds of times, while three of the other five were found unconscious. The children were not hurt. " A group of children were shooting stones at the beehive and part of it fell down on the farmers, " district police chief Ly Buoy said.
