The news comes a day after the wildlife committee submitted its report to the Prime Minister, saying that the Tiger population in the country had halved. The reason for the Tiger deaths is not known. According to the forest officials, they have been natural deaths but one of the cats that died was just three-years-old. An age considered young for a Tiger. In recent times, there has been a controversy around one of the country's most famous national parks. After reports of poaching and land encroachments, Corbett authorities had increased security but these recent deaths have raised questions about how effective these new measures have been. -- Fight captive Jumbo abuse, end Elephant Polo http://www.stopelephantpolo.com
