(IN): Another victory for performing animals in India

GREAT NEWS YET AGAIN, ANOTHER VICTORY FOR PERFORMING ANIMALS IN INDIA.

State Bank of India withdraws the TVC using a chicken.

 

Read letter forwarded below recieved by Ms Anuradha Sawhney, Chief

Functionary, PETA-India which is self explanatory.

Dear Madam,

 

We have received your letter dated 2nd November, 07 which requests us

to stop telecasr of our 'Golden Eggs' TV commercial.

 

Please note that while there is documentation to prove that full care

was taken by the producer of the film while shooting with the hen, we

are still going ahead with the withdrawal of the advertisement. This

is purely as a gesture of support to the cause of PETA.

 

Enclosed is a copy of the letter issued to our media agency, Maxus,

asking them to work with the TV channels to stop the telecast of the

TV commercial at the earliest.

Dear all,

Till date advertisement is going on at STAR / AAJ TAK not yet withdrawn by

them, I here by confirm it as I have taken up this matter with the District

Administration, Gurgaon to lodge an FIR against the offenders,
