Stop Port Construction: Save Olive Ridley Sea Turtles in India

 

 

Arribadas -- the term used for one of nature’s incredible spectacles, the mass

nesting of Olive Ridley sea turtles, sometimes in the hundreds and thousands

on a given beach -- occur in only three locations worldwide. The Arribada on

the coast of the Orissa state in India, one of the largest occurrences, is

currently under threat due to the construction of a deep-water industrial

port.
