Manpada police on Wednesday arrested four people and registered a case of

cruelty to animals against the organisers of the bull fight in Pisavli

village near Dombivli.

 

Mumbai Mirror had reported about the incident on November 12.

 

Those arrested include, Sunil Dharma Bhoir, Rohidas Bhoir, Bhagwan Mali and

Manohar Bhoir. " Bull fights are banned and we will not let them take place

ever again, " said DCP Anupkumar Singh, in-charge of the area.

 

Animal rights activist too swung into action after Mirror reported about the

incident. The activists appealed to the district collector to take strict

action against the organisers.

Please see below article on bullfights. Next bullfight is organized on

25thNovember in

Pisavali Village. Hundreds of bullocks gets injured in such fighting which

causes horn injuries, eye injuries & lot of pain to the animals.

 

I request all NGO's, Animal Lovers & Activists to take up the matter in

hands & draft a small but strong e- mail to the collector or courier a

letter to him requesting to give away an order on stopping bullfights & also

explain him the cruelty involved.
