Man's death by elephant shuts forest door

* ITANAGAR, Dec 6 – A person was trampled to death by an injured elephant

in Khowndakhowa reserve forest in Arunachal Pradesh, following which the

Forest department has advised the villagers not to venture inside the

forest.

 

According to Forest officials, the villager had entered the reserve forest

in search of his mithun (cow-like animal) on Monday. Six people were killed

by elephants in the past three years.– PTI
