SUPREME COURT CASE - Stray Dog Petition Dismissed as withdrawn

*FOR ALL ANIMAL LOVERS TO FEEL ECSTATIC FOR : *

*SUPREME COURT OF INDIA - Stray Dog Petition Dismissed as withdrawn*

*Some good news. The writ petition 508/2002 filed by

sujoy choudhuri was argued by Shri N. Ganapathy

Advocate today before a bench presided over by the

Hon'ble Chief Justice. After some arguments the court

was not inclined to the suggestion that the rules are

ultrivires the Act and that the stray dogs must be put

to death. The court also refused intervention on

behalf of the Karnataka Lok Ayuktha in the matter. The

Court dismissed the petition and the application

However the counsel later sought leave to withdraw the

petition saying that the dismissal will prejudice the

cases in Bangalore High Court. The writ petition is

therefore dismissed as withdrawn.

*THUS, VICTORY OF JUSTICE, NON VIOLENCE & RIGHT TO LIFE TO " ALL " *

regards

Rishi Dev
