Guest guest
Bad enough species are going extinct without us even knowing about them (through our own negligence) but it seems once a zookeeper finds out about a new species, the first thing they do is set traps ( http://www.animalethics.org.au/reader/wildlife-research/arrp-pitfall-traps.h tm) for the poor little guys. What is it with humans? Can't they just leave well enough alone without terrorizing poor animals under the guise of environmental science? Take a quick photo or two, seal off the desert as a protected area, and keep the hell away from the desert rats, that's what I say. Maybe after the CIA sells off overstocks of super-sensitive surveillance equipment, the zoologists could be allowed to conduct research in a non-intrusive way. Is it just me - none of this tracking of the Yeti and pitfall trapping of Jerboas makes any sense at all...don't we have better things to mess around with, like hunger, disease, war? > > Wed, 12 Dec 2007 13:05:19 +0530 > AAPN List <aapn > > Mickey Mouse Jerboa in China > > http://news.webindia123.com/news/Articles/Science/20071210/845060.html > > >
