Miraculously he survived to tell his tale. He's reportedly mentally unstable. The man was badly injured and is being treated at a government hospital in Patna. He's around 30 and mentally unwell. The zoo security guards had to use water cannon to shoo away the tiger, before dragging the man out. There were a lot of people and there aren't enough barricades. There is also a wall, a water body canal, so that the animal does not cross. It's a brick wall that is chest high, and then you have a 5-10 feet canal which is public demarcated by the water body. The man is seriously injured and has been admitted in a government hospital in Patna, but no family members have come to ask for him yet. *http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/002200712241821.htm* *Man jumps into tiger's enclosure for a third time, survives* Patna (PTI): A man who jumped into an enclosure for the big cats at the Patna zoo, surprisingly made it back from the jaws of death for a third time with some injuries but was booked for attempted suicide. Sudhir Yadav, 25, clambered up the iron-mesh, crossed the dry moat and walked up to the white tigeress " Shwetwari " on Sunday, as benumbed visitors at the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park looked on. Angry at the intrusion in its " den " , the tigress held Sudhir by his neck and began dragging him, it is when the crowd raised an alarm. The animal keepers rescued Sudhir after firing water jets at the tigress, Park Director Rakesh Kumar told PTI today. Police was called and Sudhir was rushed with deep gashes on his neck and back to Gardanibagh government hospital from where he was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital, the Director said. Sudhir had entered the cage of a lion on December 31 last year and though mauled, escaped death by a whisker and had to spend several days at PMCH. In March this year, he had jumped into a tiger's enclosure but was rescued for a second time. He had recently set ablaze a police jeep at Fatuha police station, about 25 km from here. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Secretariat) Sridhar Mandal, said Sudhir was booked under Section 309 (attempt to commit suicide), but was released on bail on Monday evening after being discharged from PMCH.
