Guest guest
I am quite happy with John as moderator. He tries to be fair and let all sides have representation on the list. Also it would not matter who was moderator. Some will be happy and others unhappy. I don't see any reason for John to go.

Moderator's note: I thank all of you who have sent in notes of encouragement. Apart from the initial post calling for my resignation, there haven't been any others and I haven't had to censor or edit any, so I guess I am stuck with this job for a while. But, I repeat, I am very open to handing over to any suitable person. This thread is definitely now closed! Happy New Year to you and yours! John. Guest guest
Dear friends, During the past few weeks, there has been a flurry of e-mails on the moderator for AAPN. Just before the Third AfA at Singapore in June 2005, Dr. Wedderburn had expressed his willingness to hand over the (thankless) job to anyone who felt she/he could handle it. I am sure that would be his position even now. However, in view of the fact that this job requires the wisdom of Solomon and considerable diplomatic skills, I feel that any new moderator must be chosen most carefully since AAPN has become a vital link for most of us working with animals in this region. AAPN is John's baby and he has nurtured it with extreme care. I think he should personally choose his immediate successor whenever he feels the time is right. S.
