Guest guest
All readers will be happy to learn that on Friday January 11, 2008, the case regarding bullfights in Tamil Nadu (jallikattu) came up before the Supreme Court at Delhi. The Supreme Court has ruled that the ban on jallikattu will continue. As a Tamilian, I am happy that we can have culture without cruelty. It has been a long fight and our thanks are to the Animal Welfare Board of India for pursuing this case over the last year and getting the finest legal minds in the country to argue the case. I will send in more details as soon as they are available. S. Chinny Krishna
