Millions of television viewers saw tonight on INDIA TV, a news channel

horrific footage of a bear which had strayed into a village near

Warrangal in Andhra Pradesh being chased, stoned & burnt using an

ignited bamboo pole by villagers when it climbed a tree.

Maneka Gandhi on tv blasted the Forest deptt and asked them to book

the offenders under the WPA for 7yrs imprisonment & said the injured

bear should be shifted to Agra bear shelter.
