(IN) Disappearence of Dogs in The Raigad District

On a visit to the Raigad District - Karjat,Bhivpuri & Neral the

building of the Reliance Gas Line can be observed.

What can also be observed is the Korean labourers and the total lack

of dogs in the area.

On questioning the villages they say that 2 to 3 men come around and

collect the dogs. If anyone objects they are 'compensated' with Rs

600.

I have informed the District Collector, Dr.Vinayak who immediately

phoned 'the man in charge' Mr Domre tel: 09967583951. The Collector

informed him that he, Mr Domre would be held criminally responsible if

any dogs were reported missing in the future.

However I would appreciate if anyone can pass onto me the email or

contact address of Reliance Gas??? so that Mr Anil Ambani can be

informed. Or please contact them yourself. His staff must be made

aware of the laws of their working country.

If you are in that area please keep and eye out for the 'lack'of dogs.
