Guest guest
http://pfaharyanaaskthecentraldelhigovt.blogspot.com/2008/02/open-letter-to-awd-\ chairman-secretary.html Saturday, February 23, 2008 OPEN LETTER TO THE AWD / CHAIRMAN / SECRETARY OF THE AWBI <http://pfaharyanaaskthecentraldelhigovt.blogspot.com/2008/02/open-letter-to-awd\ -chairman-secretary.html> Is has been learnt that under the pressure of trader's lobby - the AWD / AWBI starts working on the revisions of the No's of the animals to be put in a vehicle during shifting - animal weight will be the criteria not a size - how amazing it is? QUESTIONS FOR AWD / AWBI ? * How & why this question arrise ? * Who is supporting this issue ? SUGGESTIONS FROM THE INTERNATIONAL PFA / SPCA & PFA HARYANA :- * ISI specifications are there & no needs to review the existed rules of animal transport in question of space requirement where as a long procedure was adopted while preparing draft rules then Indian Parliament approved the same. * The AWD / AWBI have to review the punishments for violation of the PCA Act, 1960 >http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/410732651<<http://www.thepetitionsite.c\ om/petition/410732651> * The violation of the said act be the cognizable offence. * Infirmaries / SPCA's be set up in the whole country. * Police powers to be given to the NGO's. * Performance be assessed of the AWBI Chairman / Members of the Board / All AWO's quarterly. * Reward & punishment policy for all, AWBI awards be restored. * So called animal activist / bed elements be identified & elemenated. * Foreign funding / fund raising on animal welfare be monitered by the Govt. in India. -- Naresh Kadyan, Convener, IPFA/SPCA, Chairman-PFA HARYANA http://nareshkadyan.blogspot.com/, http://www.pfaharyana.in Mobile - +91-9813010595 - +91- 9313312099
Guest guest
The present Act and Rules are age old and need revision, as the Punishment is very less. The Board should draft the Rules regarding proper enforcement at all level and Minimum Punishment for Ist offence should be 1000 rupees in case of cruelty to single animal and this should be multiplied by No. of animals subjected to cruelty /rescued. The Board should not Yield to Pressue of vested interests/groups but stand firmly as was done in case of Ban on Five Wild animals. The Board should not Issue registration certificate to Elephants unless they are not recognised by Central zoo authority under wildlife Protection Act 1972(Sec 38) and all conditions laid by CZA /AWBI are fulfilled. Similarly, AWBI should suggest the modifications in structure of Transport vehicles/Boggies carrying Animals, providing the animals journey without any injury/cruelty. No Public Transport Vehicles should be allowed to be used for Transportation of Animals.
