The boy was watching the lion at Wanfota Park in Mengcheng county, Anhui province , where a travelling circus was performing on Saturday, when it suddenly grabbed him with its paws, Xinhua said. When staff pulled the boy away, his arm had been ripped off. The boy is in hospital. Police said the cage's bars were too far apart.
