The campaign has become almost like a movement. With their active participation, the children of the city demonstrated why Tamil Nadu is the only place in the country where the tiger population has gone up in the latest census. Pranav, a student of YGP School said, ''The tiger disappearing is not a good thing. It's our national animal and we must protect it.'' We received an overwhelming response at several public places in the city. While students spearheaded the campaign, cooperates were just as enthusiastic. They didn't merely open their doors for our stalls but also gave the campaign their own bit. The travelers were also approached for the campaign. South Indian cinema superstar Rajnikanth also endorsed the campaign. He said, ''You are doing an excellent job creating awareness. Fantastic. I appreciate it.'' -- United against elephant polo http://www.stopelephantpolo.com
